Cell cultures

ALAB bioscience enables you to culture cell lines, both human
and animal, with simultaneous further analysis using cytometric and molecular methods.

We conduct in vitro testing to evaluate the efficacy or toxicity of test compounds in biomedical and preclinical testing.

Cell Cultures:

  • Developing methodologies and conducting cell cultures

  • Viability analysis and cell cycle studies by classical and flow cytometry methods

  • Real-time imaging of cells

  • Isolation of DNA, RNA and proteins for further molecular studies

Tissue testing:

  • Developing methodology and performing tissue testing on assays

  • Performing histological examinations of tissues in the tests

Flow cytometry:

  • Development and optimization of cytometric assays

  • Cell sorting

  • Perform immunophenotypic assays

  • Perform viability and cell cycle cytometric assays

Creating heterotopic and orthotopic tumor models:

  • Provision of appropriate cell lines and their labeling

  • Breeding and securing cell lines

  • Provision of experimental animals and breeding facilities

  • Performing the tumor induction procedure

  • Imaging the tumor by classical methods or by fluorescence or luminescence

Microbiome

In research the microbiome, we use Ion Torrent sequencing: by synthesis with
on-chip proton detection (ThermoFisher Scientific) using the Ion 540™ Chip.

ALAB-BIOSCIENCE-INFORMATOR-2-str-7_edited.jpg

We base our microbiobim study on the analysis of 16S ribosomal RNA, which is conserved in bacteria but contains regions of high variability that may contain species-specific sequences.

The services we offer include isolation of genetic material, library creation, sequencing and bioinformatics analysis.

We use 16S rRNA sequencing in:

  • Identification and taxonomic classification of known bacterial species

  • Identification of pathogens

  • Phylogenetic classificationa

  • Metagenomic studies of bacterial populations

  • Clinical microbiology
